Tony Hawk SS180 Skateboard Shatter Logo 7.75

Anthony Frank "Tony" Hawk is a highly successful skateboarder from the United States. Thanks to his extremely high jumps, he earned the nickname The Birdman (see also Birdhouse Skateboards). He is considered one of the most successful and influential pioneers of "vertical" skateboarding.

Tony started skateboarding at the age of nine and at the age of 12 he got his first sponsorship contract. At 14, he turned professional and joined the Powell Peralta Bones Brigade team with Stacy Peralta as his coach. In 1984 he became world skateboarding champion. He won 73 of the 103 competitions he entered.
