Patagonia's Women's R1 Lite Yulex Long-Sleeved Spring Jane wetsuit is ready for your warm water, black sand beaches, and swaying palms. This ultra-stretchy springsuit combines technical performance with environmentally-friendly construction, speaking to Patagonia's eco-conscious mission. In 2016, Patagonia moved away from using petroleum-based wetsuit materials and devised a plant-based solution that is stretchy, durable, and UV resistant. This material is called Yulex and is made primarily from natural rubber and chlorine-free synthetic rubber derived from Forest Stewardship Council certified sources by the Rainforest Alliance. Yulex rubber more than meets Patagonia's stringent standards for strength, stretch, and durability, and it is ozone and UV resistant. And in 2019 Patagonia reformulated Yulex to make it lighter, stretchier, and more comfortable than before. The R1 Lite is lined with a high-stretch recycled polyester lining that dries quickly and ensures unhindered mobility, and the face fabric provides extra defense from natural wear and tear and the occasional, albeit always accidental, collision with a fin. The vertical front zipper entry allows for easy on and off and the flatlock seams ensure chafe-free comfort.
