The Lost RAD RIPPER surfboard is the latest in the “Post Modern Retro” collection. A direct spin-off from the Retro Ripper, but scaled down for small, sub-par, everyday surfing.

Starting with the Retro Ripper, Matt Biolos lowered the entry rocker a bit (for fast paddling, early entry, easy glide, and quickness off the gate) and replaced the speed-controlling round tail with a wide, planing tail. Lots of lift and surface for small surf. As a child of 80s surfing, Matt was always fascinated by the user-friendliness of high-performance shortboards from that era. The RAD RIPPER maintains a remarkably healthy amount of tail rocker, carved from an aggressive double concave, adding even more lift and spray under the back foot.

Super-fast, forgiving, and intuitive retro fun, with modern updates and enhancements, suitable for almost everyone.

Highlighted features include:

• Flat, stable deck, with a steep apex, low, soft hidden rails.

• Slight vee in the nose (to free up the low rocker) into a shallow single concave, into a deep double concave vee, for both speed and control.

• Wide, stable pumpkin tail, glides over anything and maintains speed through turns, even in small summer slopes.

• Forward thickness flow, with a wedged beak nose, for drive and paddle-ability.
